Playstation, the obsession of the younger generation in its earlier form was originally conceived back in 1988 when Sony and nintendo had a joint venture project to develop a super disc that was to be marketed as the nintendo game. Parting their ways the disk was never released. Sony later on released a modified version of the disc in 1991 as a part of their new game console The playstation. The playstation was first launched in Japan in 1994 and later on in the United States of America in 1995. Ever since the play station is the most popular video game the world over. In the earlier version of play station besides being able to play the games they could also read audio CDs with computer and Video information.
